New PSA Big Salmon Leader

On Sunday, June 10, 2012, the Producer Fishing Team went fishing in front of Pentwater Pier.  With plenty of bait fish in the channel, it seemed logical to try for something in shallow water and nearby. The fish started biting and the third fish of the morning was this 19.8 lb. King Salmon.  In 60 FOW, on a downrigger set at 45 feet down, dressed up with a Northport Nailer Mashed Banana lure, this King was headed in the opposite direction and took out lots of line before giving in to become part of the catch of the morning.  Two very nice steelhead and three more salmon for less than three hours of fishing was all it took to make for a happy Producer Fishing Team.  Here is Captain Ron Eastman holding the current leader in the Salmon Division of the PSA Big Fish Award.
